While Chick-fil-a and Chipotle are favorites among many, constantly eating fast food can get redundant fast. Some people go to the same restaurants out of habit, while others go because they don’t know where else to go. Atlanta is the perfect place to explore new cuisines and has a variety of popular food spots all around. Here, I’ve listed five restaurants that may pique your interest.

Mary Mac’s Tea Room (Southern Food)

Mary Mac’s Tea Room has been a favorite in Atlanta since it opened in 1945. This restaurant is popular among, both, locals and tourists and is the perfect place to get an authentic southern meal. The restaurant has a nice southern feel to go along with your delicious meal.

Mangoes (Jamaican)

If you’re looking for some Caribbean cuisine, Mangoes restaurant is the perfect place for you to dine. There they serve Ox’s tails, curry chicken, jerk chicken, and any other Jamaican dish you can think of. They have the best macaroni and they also offer a 10% discount for students.

For all my seafood lovers out there, The Juicy Crab will be like heaven for you. Juicy Crab is a great place to satisfy your seafood cravings. You get to choose what type of seafood you want, along with the seasoning, and the spice level. The food is flavorful and savory and is worth every penny. Also, their Hennessy Margaritas are delicious.

J.R. Crickets (Wings)

J.R. Crickets has been a staple in Atlanta for years now and is definitely the most popular wing spot in the city. Similar to Juicy Crab, J.R. Crickets will satisfy your wing cravings. Their wings are perfectly fried and dipped into the most flavorful sauce. J.R. Crickets is the perfect place to hang out and grub on some wings. They have several locations through the city, so you’re bound to run into one.

BQE Lounge (Brunch)

If you’ve never been to BQE Lounge for brunch, you’re missing out. BQE is a lounge-style restaurant and has brunch every Saturday and Sunday. They offer bottomless mimosas for $25 and have red velvet chicken and waffles that are to die for. The good food, mimosas, and live DJ make it a guaranteed good time.
