Ever once and a while you may feel discouraged or insufficient. It may be the stress of a particular subject or you just not feeling very accomplished in your current situation. Either way, we all have those days where we just want to lay around and do nothing. Because you're human, it's okay to have those moments, but it isn't okay for you to sit around feeling sorry for yourself. A good way for me to get out of my feeling after a rough day is to listen to some music that'll change my mood. Here I've listed five songs that instantly change my mood and make me feel like a boss.
1#: Juice by Lizzo
I just recently listened to Lizzo's album, 'Cuz I Love You', for the first time and when I tell you the album is everything. Out of the 14 songs on the album, her song 'Juice' gave me the most unapologetic girl boss vibes. Listening to this song gets my energy up and is a great balance of empowerment and self-love.
#2: Can't Tell Me Nothing by Kanye West
From Kanye West's third album, 'Graduation', 'Can't Tell Me Nothing' is #2 on my list because of the straightforwardness and relatability of the song. This song not only gets me hyped but it's a good reminder of what's yet to come.
#3: 7 Rings by Ariana Grande
Nearly four months after the release of '7 Rings', it's still a whole bop. This song embodies making your own moves and manifesting everything you desire in your life.
#4: Change Locations by Drake and Future
Drake and Future's 'Change Location' is on my list simply because the song talks about being successful with the people around you. Because of its message, this song always makes me feel prosperous and has been one of my favorites since 'WATTBA' dropped.
#5: Boss by The Carters
The last song on my list is 'Boss' by The Carters. 'Everything is Love' was dropped last summer unexpectedly and was a pleasant surprise, as I mentioned in my 'Everything is Love' album review. 'Boss' was the first song to cling to me from that album because of the context of the song. Every time I listen to Boss, I'm reminded about the woman I'm becoming and all the goals I have yet to achieve.
