5 Tips When Planning Goals for the New Year

We’re officially one week into the new year and you’re probably still figuring out what goals you want to achieve by the end of the year. Setting goals are very common around this time of years being as it feels like you have a clean slate. Although many set their New Years goals with good intentions, they usually fall by the wayside by the end of the year. To ensure that you reach your goals this year, I’ve come up with my top five tips when making your goals for the new year.

#1: Be Realistic

Be real with yourself when making your list. Don’t write down anything you know you’re not willing to work hard for. For example, hoping to earn $1,000,000 dollars by the end of the year without a million dollar plan is unrealistic. It’s important to stay practical with your goals.

#2: Think Big

In the midst of being realistic, allow yourself to dream. Don’t hold back on planning your greatest aspirations and goals. Think big and challenge yourself a little. If you want to start a business, start saving and doing your research. Maybe even enroll in an online class for new business owners. You can achieve anything you work hard for.

#3: Physically Write It Down

With everything being done on our phones, we tend to forget the importance of physically writing our goals down. Take out a sheet of paper, your favorite pen, and write down everything you wish to achieve this year. You can put your list on your nightstand, fridge, or work desk. Doing this will not only help you visualize your goals, but it’ll also be a constant reminder of what you want to achieve throughout the year.

#4: Create a Vision Board

To take it a step further, create your own vision board. Vision boards are truly the best way to help you visualize your goals. Whether it’s your dream car or dream job, putting it on your vision board will help you envision your future. You can either make your vision board on a poster or word doc, whichever works best for you. Put all your goals on your board and keep your it in a place where you’ll be able to see it daily.

#5: Believe It Will Come to You

The most important tool when thinking about your goals is believing they will come to pass. Our minds are the most powerful source we have. It’s vital that you have an open heart and mind, along with positive energy, regarding your goals. If you want to find love this year, believe you’re deserving of love and that it’ll come to you. Manifestation is the greatest gift God gave us, so use it!

I hope these tips will help you navigate what you want to achieve this year. Now is the time to finally start your business, become healthy, move into your dream apartment and even find love. Use these tools and this year will be completely different from the previous years, in the most positive way.
