Galentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is only two days away which means we'll be seeing a plethora of couples boo'd up all over our feeds. It seems as though singleness is highlighted the most around this time of year. From friends who get dozens of red roses from their men to the endless Valentine’s Day posts on Instagram, it's easy to feel left out. And while the FOMO may be unbearable, it's not necessary for you to sulk in solitude the whole day. Nine times out of 10, you have a couple of friends who are also single during the holiday. This is why it would be perfect for you to forget about not having a valentine and celebrate Galentine’s Day together.

Galentine’s Day has become popular in recent years and is basically like Valentine's Day with your friends rather than a significant other. It can be described as an alternative for those who want to celebrate the holiday, but have nobody to celebrate it with. Rather than being alone on the holiday, you can have a girls night. You can make it whatever you want whether it's with a group of girlfriends or just you and your closest girlfriend.

To prepare for your Galentine's Day celebration, decorate your place with candles, red roses, and candies to set an ambiance. Have you and your friend's favorite foods prepared to snack on throughout the night. Put on your favorite playlist or watch romcoms while sipping on champagne. Do whatever it is that’ll ensure you'll have a good time.

Valentine’s Day is a holiday that celebrates love, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be with a significant other. You don't have to spend the holiday alone solely because you don’t have a date. Girls nights are always a good time, so why not? Galentine's Day is the perfect reason to grab your single lady friends and celebrate the love you share within your friendships.
